Ballyhane
Sires - making people happy
"2004
was an exceptional year for the Ballyhane Stallions, with
three of our sires excelling with their progeny on the
track.
Daggers Drawn
continued his fine start by siring his first Gr.1 winner
'down under' and also getting the record-breaking British
two year old Caesar Beware.
Imperial Ballet
was responsible for some very smart two year olds in 2004
and had an excellent crop of yearlings which, we are very
confident, will enhance his reputation even more next
year.
Rossini made a tremendous start to his stud career
and while it was sad to see him leave for the States,
he has been very successful for his supporters and we
wish him and his new owners continued success.
The Iron Mask foals
have been very impressive and his second book of mares
was full of quality, so we predict a bright future for
this record-breaking son of Danzig.
City On A Hill
yearlings sold well at the sales, and have gone to all
the 'right' trainers, so expect a fast start for this
horse who was himself a highly talented two year old.
We were delighted to secure Captain
Rio and with the quality of mares that he received
in his first season, we feel very confident that this
good looking son of Pivotal will make a big impact, and
we eagerly await his first foals in 2005.
The acquisition of Pyrus
is a great boost to the Ballyhane roster, and we look
forward to introducing him to breeders in 2005. An extremely
talented racehorse with an outstanding stallion's pedigree
by the legendary Mr Prospector, he is a very attractive
and good moving horse, and we have set his fee at a very
realistic level.
Indeed, we have kept all our stallion fees very affordable,
to allow breeders every chance of making their business
pay. We invite clients, old and new, to visit Ballyhane
to inspect the stallions and we look forward to a successful
future working together."
